***Coronavirus Information for Members***

Hi Members

We hope you are all keeping safe and well and that your bees are providing a good distraction from global events. Although we are unable to meet in person, Grantham District Beekeepers Committee is able to provide you with beekeeping help, advice and physical support with your bees should you need it. If you are unable to visit your bees due to shielding, self-isolation or illness please seek help from the group if you need it. In the first instance, contact Tanya by phone or email and she will be able to co-ordinate support for you and your bees, following strict social distancing rules.

Stay safe,

Grantham District Beekeepers Committee

Welcome! Grantham District Beekeepers are here to support our members and promote and further the craft of beekeeping. We do this through regular monthly meetings, open apiaries and social events, which give our members the opportunity to meet other beekeepers and gain from their experience. We also run an Introduction to Beekeeping course in the spring. New members are welcome to join at any time, just click on Membership above. For details of upcoming meetings, please see the News page.

We are also keen to raise public awareness of the importance of bees and other pollinating insects in the environment and to this end, we are happy to bring our observation hive to local events so people can observe at first hand these fascinating insects! We also have a number of experienced beekeepers who will come and give talks to clubs, schools, Brownie and Scout packs, etc.

If your interest is in finding out what beekeeping involves, furthering your experience or simply learning what you can do to help pollinating insects, please browse our site and if there is anything we can help with, send a message via the Contact page.
